 IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants Vs Mumbai Indians Match Results:

Kamaal Lajawab Rahul hits his 2nd century against MI (Mumbai Indians) to secure a 36 runs victory for Lucknow Super Giants.

After winning the toss Rohit Sharma decided to bowl first to put pressure on the LSG team knowing that Wankhede stadium is great for chasing.

Mi did everything they could to stop the LSG captain KL Rahul. He likes batting against MI. He scored 62 balls 100 by hitting (12) 4s  and (4) 6s. 

It was his 2nd century this season and both had come against Mumbai Indians. He helped LSG to put up a total of 168 runs on the board.

Everyone thought it was an easy task to chase on a ground like Wankhede Stadium Mumbai which is known as one of the best chasing grounds in India. 

But, it was a big task for the Mumbai Indians team to chase as they had come to this match after getting 7 consecutive defeats this season. 

Mi did start well and put up 49 runs opening start by Rohit and Ishan Kishan before Ishan Kishan got out in an unfortunate way in the slips. After his wicket, MI could not make a good partnership in the middle order with Brevis, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Rohit. 

Tilak Varma scored 38 runs but that was not enough to help MI get over the line and get the first victory this season for the team. 

On the other, LSG with this victory got 2 important points and on the 4th position on the table with 10 points, only behind GT, SRH, and RR. The only thing is that LSG just played 1 extra match compared to these teams.

MI is yet to open their account of victory this season as they received the 8th loss over LSG today. The next match for MI is against the red hot formed RR team on April 30 on Saturday. For LSG is Punjab kings on April 29.
