IPL 2022: PBKS VS CSK Match Results: PBKS Beat CSK second time in this season's TATA IPL and this time it was by 11 Runs to secure two points which helped them stand in the 6th position in the points table having a total of 8 points.
Let's talk about match highlights here. After losing the toss Mayank Agarwal's PBKS team was sent to bat first by the CSK captain Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja).
CSK was economical till 10-12th overs to their bowling and had succeeded to push back PBKS batting scoring rate slow.
But Shikhar Dhawan and returning B Rajapaksahad different plans on their minds as both made a crucial and excellent partnership of 110 runs after the wicket of Mayank's wicket in the first powerplay.
In the end, Liam Livingstone played a cameo of 7 balls 19 with Shikhar to helped reaching the total of 187 runs by losing only 4 wickets.
Chasing the 188 runs CSK had lost the wickets of Inform batsman Rabin Uthappa and Mitchel Santner in the powerplay.
But it was Rituraj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu who helped CSK to fight back against PBKS bowling. Even though Gaikwad failed to make big runs by falling short by 30 runs, it was Rayudu who single-handedly helped Chennai back into the Game.
Rayudu played 78 runs innings of 39 balls with 6 (6s) and 7 (4s) before he was bowled out by Kagiso Rabada in the 18th over of CSK innings when 35 was required of 13 balls.
The only man who can easily do that chase in that situation was in the middle and it was the World's best finisher of this game MS Dhoni.
When Dhoni was on the strike in the 20th over by Rishi Dhawan CSK required 27 runs. He did score a six on the first balls but got out in the 3rd ball of the 20th over by Rishi Dhawan and it was over for CSK.
Jadeja did try but it was too late and lost the match by 11 runs by PBKS.
After the second consecutive loss by PBKS, CSK is in the 9th on the points table.
